We as a society are to dependent on technology, using computers, laptops and Ipad/phones are a great way to communicate and help you with school work but some people get addicted to social media and using online sites and now a days we cant even work out a maths equation or think of our answers for a science equation without searching the answer.
Technology are wonderful tools and make our life easier and much more simpler, but is it really helping us? We are relying on the cyber world more than other things that are more important such as your family and friends. It has helped many people with their jobs such as architects and scientists but we are using these tools as an easier way to make jobs instead of being hands on and just drawing out measurements. And now there is no such thing as an un hack-able computer and the one's doing this are dependent on the internet and others stuff which comes down to people wanting what they cant have. Our reliance on digital devices also can effect our mental and physical well-being,
you can become:
depressed- It creates a lack of human contact, antidepressants are on a rise and this is one of the reasons why it also makes you overeat and you have a lack of exercise also resulting in obesity
obese- People are spending more time video gaming, talking online and online shopping and you aren't being active and exercising regularly. There is also the likely hood that you will reach for more junk food because your focused on the next episode of your favorite show.
have a lack of social skills- Being online and using social media, we talk to our friends in chats online instead of having face-to-face contact then we have a lack in social skills and find it hard to read body language and focusing when someone is talking
poor sleep habits- We get sucked in to games and using social media that keeps us up late and looking at your phone before bed doesn’t make you sleepy its worse for you and looking at a screen in the dark also effects your eye sight, because of all the information running through our minds we find it hard to turn our brains off
Samsung/Apple thumb- You can develop tendinitis in your thumb from over use of them for texting and pressing buttons, you can also get the same thing from playing video games to often.
